Record Setting Snow Storm Hits DC!

It started snowing around 9 pm Friday and didn't let up until about midnight on Saturday. At times they said the snow was coming down 1-2" an hour for a total of around 22." An all time record setter in Dec for this area. Needless to say, the girls have been having a blast!

Saturday morning with 7" of snow

Lauren measured the snow Sat am, by noon it was nearly covered. This morning it's buried!

Had to slip one of Tessa in. If she was big enough, she'd have fun out there too! For now she'll have to settle for a "Snow Fun" outfit. : )

Sat Heath dug out a cave in the pile of snow the plow made near the driveway. All three of them fit comfortably. Mia came in after two hours of playing very sad. Snow was caught in her hair and her cheeks and wrists and hands were cold and beat red. A warm bath and hot chocolate went a long way! This morning, Sunday, the plow came through again crushing the cave and making the pile taller than Heath! He was nice enough to dig another one out for them in which they are currently having tons of fun! Don't you wish you were here!?!? : )
