Christmas Celebrations

Last Friday Lauren and Katie held their Christmas Program at Preschool. The Christmas story was told through the eyes of the animals at the stable. Lauren's class was sheep and Katie's class was camels. Every time Mia saw the camel masks she'd moo like a cow.

Sunday night the girls had their Christmas Musical "Miracle at Midnight." They both were angels and had their very own lines for the first time this year. It was very exciting!

Happy 5th Birthday!

December 7th the twins turned five years old! Heath kicked the day off with birthday waffles -- butter, syrup, and "joke" candles. (the kind that relight after you blow them out) The girls got a big kick out of those. A friend came over to play in the morning. That afternoon we went to the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport. Very cool planes and a space shuttle! Afterwards we got pizza and they spent the $5 received in a bday card on some treasures.

Saturday we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa Butler and Scooby Doo atop their cakes. The girls opened presents, had dinner, cake, and then we toured the "Festival of Lights" Christmas display at a nearby park. It was a pretty nice birthday weekend.

Giving Thanks

Lauren and Katie got to dress up as a Pilgrim and Indian for their Thanksgiving Program at Preschool. They were so excited! Afterwards they sat down for a "Friendship Feast" in their classroom. Lots of goodies!
